Support for students with disabilities at Glasgow University
The Disability Service has changed the means of informing departments about student support needs.
The student disability assessment record, historically known as ' THE PINK FORM ' , is now online on WEBSURF. This is designed to promote ongoing communication between the student, a Disability Adviser, and the relevant staff member in the academic department concerened. Recorded on the form are details of the student's needs and their particular requirements.
It should be noted that the Assessment of Needs is based upon the individual student rather than on a named disability. These requirements may be updated following re-assessments throughout the student's university career. We hope that this will improve the passing on of such information to those staff in academic departments who ‘need to know’ about your support needs. Student Data Protection rights are still protected.
