International Pre-Masters in Management Programme

You are welcome and encouraged to attend this 5-week course designed for overseas students. It will prepare you for the MBA or Masters in Management Studies, and bring your English up to an entry level equivalent to the required IELTS score. The combination of subject input and language practice will help you adapt to the style of learning and teaching in the University.

You will cover:

• Fundamentals of Management 
            Managing operations 
            People and relationships
            Operational finance
            Information and decision making
• Extensive language practice, with tutorials
• Seminar and presentation skills
• Note-taking in live lectures
• Writing an extended report on an aspect of Fundamentals of Management
• Library research
• Using sources in your text

You will be assessed throughout the course and on your extended report, and you will sit an exit test.

Your final report will certify your level of English language proficiency.

Suitable for students with IELTS 6.5, or IELTS 6.0 with not less than 6 in any skill.

It is expected that students will achieve a level equivalent to IELTS 6.5, or higher, by the end of the course.

Attendance may be a conditions of offer, or you may be recommended to attend.

Course fee:    £1230 (a deposit of £600 is payable to ensure a place on the course)
