Storage Area Network (SAN)

IT Services manages a complex Storage Area Network (SAN) which operates seamlessly with existing network services.

A SAN connects multiple servers to a centralized pool of disk storage. Compared to managing multiple servers, each with their own disks, SANs improve system administration. By treating much of the Universitys storage requirements as a single resource, disk maintenance and routine backups are easier to schedule and control.
