Print credits

Costs
  • 5p for an A4 black and white sheet
  • 50p for an A4 colour sheet.

Note: you are responsible for choosing the destination printer. Black and white is usually the default.

How do I print from a computer in the open clusters?

Some faculties may give some students limited free print credits to use in faculty clusters, these will be shown in the free-count or free-facaccounts [see below].
  • In order to print from an open cluster you need to purchase printing credits. 
  • You can buy print credits only on level 3 of the library via large blue print kiosks which will accept £1 coins.
  • You login as normal via the touch screen on the kiosk using your student login name and password.
  • This allows you to purchase print credits any time the library is open.
  • Please be careful not to purchase more credits than you require as we cannot offer refunds.
Audit trail

This is essentially a database that allows you to check what you have printed and where and when you deposited money.

To access your print audit trail double click the blue gpas icon printer audit trail icon
in the windows system tray (bottom right hand side of the desktop). This will display your account details as pictured below:

Cash: cash deposits made and transferred pcounter balance.
Free-count: printers that require only a count of pages used, not a chargeable cost.
Free-cs: refunds to be used in library and reading room.
Free-fac: refunds and limited free printing in faculty clusters.
