Exchange service
Supported Standard Staff Desktop users (and others) have e-mail provided via the Exchange service. The Exchange service also provides facilities for individual and shared diary management, meeting requests, contact lists, multi function public folders, web access via a internet browser, (The url is https://owa.gla.ac.uk ) plus a simple-to-use Out of office tool.
Out of Office message
- If you use Outlook on the Exchange service you can simply use the Out of office tool. (from the tools menu choose out of office assistant)
- If you are on any other centrally provided email system (Central UNIX) then you can use the autoreply service.

You can find out about spam e-mail and what you can do about it by visiting the spam filter service pages.
Please note: Some Faculties provide their own e-mail services. In this case you should consult your local IT support for available services.
