Licensing

Current licences maintained by IT Services

A licence gives permission to use a software package on more than one system or anywhere on a site or campus.

If you have a licence which you think would benefit the University, or have any enquiries regarding licences at the University of Glasgow, then please email admin@it.gla.ac.uk

Microsoft Products

Please note that the University has a Campus Agreement, which covers the most widely used Microsoft software, primarily:-

  • Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Microsoft Office Pro for Macintosh (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Virtual PC)

Please note that a great deal of Microsoft software is not covered by the Campus agreement, for example, Microsoft Project, Front Page, and all server software are not included.
