Lecture Theatre Conferencing

Booking
  • Lecture Theatre's can only be booked by Central Room Bookings 
  • Once the room booking is made a video link is booked by contacting video-book@gla.ac.uk
Equipment
Specific information for equipment in each lecture theatre can be found on the AV Services Central Teaching Facilities Page but mainly consists of:-
  • A dual projection system one for incoming video or document viewer and the other for displaying the PC or laptop.
  • 4 cameras allowing a number of different views of the audience and lecturer,
  • 2 monitors to show your outgoing and preview pictures, a large monitor to show the incoming picture from the remote end,
  • A VHS and/or DVD player,
  • A document viewer to show objects, such as overheads, books, etc.
  • There is also a fixed PC and AMX touch panel to allow a simplified control over the system.

All sites are wired for sound reinforcement and use a tie clip mic for the lecturer, podium mic and hand held radio mic for audience participation. Kelvin and WILT both feature slide to video convertors as well as the standard 35mm slide projection equipment.
