    National Agreement

    The Information Strategy Committee (ISC) has recommended that only two suppliers of Notebooks should have their products supported by IT Services. After reviewing the existing volume of business across campus with the Purchasing Office and the proven level of service the suppliers selected are Dell Computer Corporation Ltd and Getech UK Ltd (Toshiba).

    Please note that whilst support from IT Services for Notebooks from non approved suppliers may be offered there will normally be a charge for services rendered and where there are competing demands priority will be given to the support of standard machines. This policy is implemented from February 2005 until January 2008 and will not be applied to machines purchased before that date.

    The University has now joined the National Agreement for PC Procurement, the suppliers being

     

    Please note that Getech will no longer be Dell PC suppliers. Although Hewlett-Packard Limited are no longer a desktop supplier, they are still a preferred Server supplier.
