Step by Step Instructions - Windows XP

Quick start instructions (any operating system)

• The "flexaccess" network is broadcast, so your laptop should pick it up automatically - select "flexaccess" to connect
• Use your browser to go to http://www.gla.ac.uk/flexibleaccess/download to download  VPN which is used to give secure access to the network, and then follow the instructions at http://www.gla.ac.uk/vpnsetup to install it.
• Launch the VPN service and enter your VPN username and password.
• Change your browser settings to use Automatic Configuration Script http://wwwcache.gla.ac.uk/dial-in.pac (You will need to change this back to use a different internet connection)

You can now access the internet safely.
