Macintosh OS 10 installation notes

Get Cisco installation notes in PDF format.
Note: MAC OS X ONLY.

1) Check your computer meets the system requirements.

2) Download the VPN client from the IT Services website. You will need your VPN username and password. See registration.

3) If necessary uninstall any previous VPN client

  • Open a terminal window
  • run the command sudo /usr/local/bin/vpn_uninstall
  • enter your password you use to start your Mac
  • enter Yes to remove all profiles and certificates

4) Double click on the file you downloaded to mount a drive called Cisco VPN client.

5) Double click the Cisco VPN client disk icon

6) Double click on the file Cisco VPN Client.mpkg

7) Enter your password you use to start your Mac

8) Click Continue

9) Click Agree to accept the license agreement.

10) Select your Hard Disk as the destination and click Continue

11) Click Install to start the installation

12) Wait for the files to be installed

13) Click the Close button

Installation is now complete.

To start the client, click on the VPN client application in the Applications directory

To connect select the connection Flexible Access and click the connect button
