Undergraduate Admissions

The Undergraduate Admissions System (UAS) provides the facility for members of staff to manage applications to Undergraduate Programmes of study.  Users can access data such as;

  • Applicant personal details
  • Courses applied for
  • Education history

 Data within the system can also be accessed using the query and reporting tool,  BI/Query.

Who would use the Undergraduate Admission System?

The system has two levels of access:

  • Enquiry access is suitable for staff who require to view applicant information.
  • Update access is suitable for staff who are responsible for updating applicant records.

The BI/Query reporting tool is available to allow authorised users to retrieve information on a group of applicants.

Applying for access

To obtain access to the Undergraduate Admissions System, complete the application form.  If you have any problems accessing the form please email missec@it.gla.ac.uk or call 0141 330 4436.

Installing Software

Once authorised for access to the system staff will be able to download the software onto their PC

Training

A user manual is available for download.  MIS also offer courses on the Undergraduate Admissions BI/Query model.

The system works in conjuction with the national University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) who administer applications and with the University's Student Records System (SRS) in order to generate new entrant student records for all susscessful applicants.
