CCIMS - Central Course Information Management System
The Central Course Information Management System (CCIMS) allows staff throughout campus to view and change information about degrees and course modules from their proposal to approval and beyond.
Who would use CCIMS?
Any member of staff who is required to:
- enter a proposal for a new course on-line
- enter a proposal to change or withdraw a course on-line
- view the details of a live course
- change live course details which do not require approval
- approve new and changed courses
Applying for access
To obtain access to CCIMS, complete the application form. If you have problems accessing the form please contact missec@it.gla.ac.uk or call 0141 330 4436 to arrange for a form to be mailed to you.
Accessing the System
CCIMS is a Windows-style application accessed by means of a web browser.
What training is available?
Training courses are held regularly. For more information about training courses or to request a place on a course, contact the Project Manager.

- Introduction to the course approval procedures of the University.
- Demonstration on how to;
- Creating a proposal for a new course
- Creating a proposal to change a course
- Creating a proposal to withdraw/suspend a course
- Viewing live course details
- Submitting proposals and print proposals
- Getting help with CCIMS
- Hands-on training exercise in the use of the CCIMS.
