IT SERVICES NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Windows Vista advice

IT Services advises that you do not purchase Windows Vista at this time for any machine intended for use within the University. This is due to unresolved technical issues from various hardware/software vendors and is out with our control. We will therefore be unable to support you.  We will update this advice when the position changes. IT Service recommends Windows XP Professional SP2.

MyGlasgow PC

Under the tender awarded to Dell, as of the 3rd of September 2007, the MyGlasgow PC standard prices have been available. The standard prices have been negotiated by IT Services to ensure best value for the University in terms of purchasing and after-sales support.
