Introduction to the Handbook
Welcome to the University of Glasgow. As a new member of staff, no doubt there are many questions going through your mind regarding the University and your employment. This handbook has been compiled to try and help you to find answers to at least some of these questions. Section 2 of the Handbook sets out the details of your main terms and conditions of employment in addition to those set out in the letter of offer and principal statement of terms and conditions of employment. The remaining sections of the Handbook and Appendices provide you with information on facilities for you as a member of staff.
Please do not feel hesitant about approaching your Head of Department, Human Resources Department or your Trade Union representative with any queries you may have.
