Level 1 of the Business and Management Programme attracts between 250 and 400 students per year, of which there are 300 in session 2007/08. Staff have identified that only one in fifty of these students claim to have had no work experience whatsoever. Almost all work during their studies. The team aim to raise students’ awareness of the value of their part time work experiences, and encourage reflection. They will also build a database of the students’ employers, with a view to engaging with them, and developing stronger links.
