Glasgow in the top trio of UK E&EE Departments
The Department of Electronics & Electrical Engineering at Glasgow is delighted to join Imperial and Edingburgh as the top three places in the UK to study E&EE, according to the widely respected Guardian University Guide 2009.
“We are delighted at this recognition of our quality”, said Professor John Arnold, Head of the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Department, “and it is particularly pleasing to be recognised for what the Guardian refers to as ‘added value’ - getting the best from our students. For instance we are one of the few Departments where the vast majority of MEng students carry out international industrial placements, some of them even learning a European language in the process. This sort of care and attention to our students’ education is one of the reasons we have been placed so highly in league tables this year.”
