Division of Cardiovascular & Medical Sciences
Welcome to the Division of Cardiovascular & Medical Sciences. We are one of 8 Divisions that comprise the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Glasgow.
The Division includes both academic clinicians & scientists who are responsible for research, teaching and delivery of clinical services within Glasgow.
The largest of the CAMS research groups are based in the purpose built BHF Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre which opened in 2006. Other research groups are based in the Western Infirmary and Royal Infirmary. Our research groups have links to the Glasgow Biomedical Research Centre and Wolfson Medical School. The BHF Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre completes the University of Glasgow’s triangle of excellence and contributes to the strategic competitiveness of the University of Glasgow as an International Centre of Excellence.
The Division is also provides leadership to a number of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses.
