Visitors

A warm welcome to you, our visitors. The Department of Accounting & Finance is one of the oldest departments of accounting in the UK, dating back to 1925 when the Johnstone Smith Chair of Accountancy was established.  The department today is housed in refurnished facilities within the South West wing of the main building of the university, the Gilbert Scott building

The South West wing contains two lecture theatres, the Humanities lecture theatre on level 2, and on level 4 a second lecture theatre, directly above the first.  Our main seminar room is on level 5 (room 540A), with views directly over Kelvingrove Park and the Kelvin Art Gallery.  Also on level 5 can be found the Ward Research Library, which we feel looks particular impressive in it’s new home

Our administrators can be found on levels 3 & 4. In particular the undergraduate administrators, Ms Julie Cairns and Miss Lynn Campbell, can be found on level 3, and the postgraduate administrators, Ms Caroline Docherty and Ms Gail Smith, on level 4.
