Accreditation
What is Accreditation?
Your path into the accounting profession will be made easier by the accredited status awarded to all versions of the BAcc degree by the all the major UK professional accountancy bodies. This means you are eligible for significant exemptions from the professional examinations of the:
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW)
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
- Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA)
Accreditation provides a head start against graduates of other disciplines in the process of qualifying as a professional accountant.
No other degrees at the University of Glasgow offer full accreditation by ICAS, and not all degrees that include the study of Accountancy will provide exemptions from the professional examinations of the major accounting professions in the UK.
