Accounting & Finance Moodle
Moodle: our Virtual Learning Environment
The Department uses the Faculty Moodle VLE for course support for all courses and for general student support.
The Moodle "Quick link" links to the Faculty Moodle site; our material is in the Accounting & Finance part of that site. The other "quick links" may be useful to new users. The first is a short presentation on the use and structure of our Moodle site, the second a set of simple instructions on accessing Moodle.
Abbreviated instructions
Students should login via the "Login" block (currently at the top right of the screen).
To login use your normal University username (student number and letter) and password.
On your first use of our Moodle site you will have to complete your profile (see the sample instructions "quick link" for details. You can edit this at a later date.
Our sub-site has different sections for each group of students: BAcc degree students, taught Masters students and non-Department degree students. (The staff sections are not relevant.)
Once you are logged in you will be able to access all of the course that have been approved by your advisor of studies and which are ready for student access.
In addition you will get access to the "Common Room" for the degree that you are studying - this Moodle site will include important documents and information that applies to the degree and /or to courses that are part of the degree, including a section for new students. You must check your common room on a regular basis, especially at the start of your courses.
Please note: not all Moodle course sites will be ready yet for the current year. Courses will be made available at least a couple of weeks before the start of each semester, often much earlier.
